Note: local ice shifting first occurred May 11. A partial ice jam at the mouth of the Yuki (south bank next to Yuki Island blocked with intact ice sheet) set up on May 12. It was jammed enough to cause historic high water at Ruby, surpassing the 2023 or 2013 Floods. But some water was still going under the ice along the north bank (main channel) at Yuki to keep Galena river levels relatively stable during the time the jam was in place.
Also note that 124 feet is the beginning of minor flood stage in Galena. 126 is moderate flood stage, 128 major flood stage.
